Fort Loramie Local Schools Education: 671 students enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 671 students enrolled in Fort Loramie Local Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.2% less than the previous year, according to the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.8% of them were girls, and 49.2% were boys.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 97.9% of the Fort Loramie Local Schools total enrollment.

Fort Loramie Local Schools roughly covers two schools within Shelby County and has a main office in Fort Loramie.

Among the two schools in Fort Loramie Local Schools, Fort Loramie Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 406 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In 2022, Ohio saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is an improvement for the state and is lower than the national average of 1:16.

Despite the apparent improvement, this positive trend is overshadowed by a general decline in public school enrollments, which was accelerated by the pandemic. This decline, aligned with the steady number of teachers in the state over the last 10 years, has led to low student-to-teacher ratios.
