There were 12 multiracial students enrolled in Jackson Center Local Schools in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.

Data showed that Jackson Center Local Schools welcomed 497 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, multiracial students made up 2.4% of the student body, making them the least represented ethnicity in the district.

Jackson Center Local Schools roughly covers two schools within Shelby County and has its main office in Jackson Center.

Among the two schools in Jackson Center Local Schools, Jackson Center Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 11 students.

In 2022, Ohio saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. This marks an improvement for the state, especially compared to 2016, when the ratio reached its decade-high at 16.1 students per teacher.

Despite the apparent improvement, this positive trend is overshadowed by a general decline in public school enrollments, which was accelerated by the pandemic. This decline, aligned with the steady number of teachers in the state over the last 10 years, has led to low student-to-teacher ratios.
