3.7% of Miami County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Miami County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 2,081 people out of the 107,899 living in Miami County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Miami County has decreased compared to the 4.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Miami County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 53,852 people who had a job during that time, 192 were employed in the Armed Forces and 53,660 belonged to the civilian labor force.
