The Wright Patterson Top III has partnered with the City of Piqua and the Miami Memorial Park to honor Medal of Honor Recipient SSgt William H. Pitsenbarger through the creation of a memorial to commemorate his life and sacrifice. At the request of the Miami Memorial Park, the Wright-Patterson Top III is leading the effort to build this memorial to honor the memory of SSgt Pitsenbarger and the actions he took as an Air Force pararescueman on 11 April 1966 in the jungles of Vietnam.

Included with this letter is a trifold providing additional information about SSgt Pitsenbarger and his final mission as well as additional details about the planned memorial located at Miami Memorial Park near Piqua, Ohio. Our goal is to raise $75,000 for the creation and installation of a granite monument as well as additional site work and landscaping for this memorial. This letter serves as a request for your financial support for this historic project. To our show of appreciation, sponsors who donate a gift of $1000 or more will have their name, in memoriam name, or company name engraved on a donor recognition plaque at the entrance of the walkway to the memorial.

The Wright-Patterson Top III association is a non-profit organization that serves the Airmen of Wright Patterson AFB and the local community.

Thank you in advance for your contribution. Your support will highlight and bring honor to this amazing Airman, Leader, Warrior, and Medal of Honor Recipient. Please contact John and Lora Aleo with the Miami Memorial Park for more information at (937) 473-3038.
